DWBN events are designed to bring women together in a supportive, welcoming space to connect, learn and share real conversations. Whether the focus is education, networking or community, our events are grounded in practical insights, meaningful connection and the shared experience of women in business across Dubbo and the Central West.
Before the year fills up with deadlines, expectations and to-do lists, this session invites you to slow down and set the tone for 2026 with intention.
Melissa will lead the first part of the session, helping you clarify what you want the year ahead to stand for. That might be a word for the year, an intention, or specific goals that feel aligned with where you’re at right now.
Kate will then support you to translate that vision into a realistic plan, breaking it down into manageable steps so you can move forward with confidence rather than overwhelm.
This is a space to think bigger, plan smarter and connect with other women who understand the juggle.
This session is led by Melissa Woodward and Kate Astill, co-founders of the Dubbo Women’s Business Network.
Between them, Melissa and Kate bring years of lived business experience. They’ve built, grown and sustained businesses through different seasons, from big ideas and bold launches to the quieter, harder moments that don’t always make it onto social media. As founders, they understand the reality of running a business while juggling life, family, energy and expectations.
Their approach is practical, supportive and grounded, not one-size-fits-all advice.
This session isn’t about doing more for the sake of it. It’s about creating clarity, making intentional decisions and planning in a way that supports both your business and your wellbeing, guided by women who genuinely get it.
