DWBN events are designed to bring women together in a supportive, welcoming space to connect, learn and share real conversations. Whether the focus is education, networking or community, our events are grounded in practical insights, meaningful connection and the shared experience of women in business across Dubbo and the Central West.
Your inner critic has opinions. Loud ones. Uninvited ones. The “you can’t”, “you shouldn’t”, “who do you think you are?” kind.
In this session, Monique shares how to stop handing that voice the microphone so you can show up, speak up, and grow your business without self-doubt running the show.
Because confidence isn’t about never feeling fear or doubt. It’s about learning not to let it make your decisions for you.

Monique is the Director and Principal Psychologist at Mind Cookie Psychology and has spent more than 13 years helping people navigate the messy, complicated, very-human parts of life.
With experience across corrections, youth justice, crisis mental health and trauma support, she’s worked with a huge range of people and challenges. These days, she has a particular interest in disordered eating, trauma, and helping people untangle the stories they tell themselves.
Known for her relatable, honest and refreshingly down-to-earth approach, Monique blends evidence-based psychology with honest conversations, lived experience and the occasional “do as I say, not as I do” moment.
She’s passionate about helping people understand their minds with more compassion and less shame, especially when that inner critic starts acting like an unpaid executive assistant with way too much authority.
When she’s not supporting clients or supervising upcoming psychologists, you’ll usually find her learning something new, sharing openly about the realities of mental health, or reminding people that self-awareness and perfection are definitely not the same thing.

Each month, we gather in the large auditorium, providing a comfortable, professional setting for connection, learning and conversation. With modern facilities and a central location, the venue supports an enjoyable and accessible event experience for all attendees.
